When activities are on at Light Cinema for Sheffield Bricktropolis

Light Cinema have lots going on at the moment for families as part of the Sheffield Bricktropolis 2019. Meet Lego characters, get messy with slime, glitter making, make your own crafts and much more.

It’s all spaced theme with these some out-of-this-world activities at The Light and they’re raising money for Sheffield Children’s Hospital, too.

From 17 to 29 August, here’s what’s going on:

Build your own star – daily

Time to get elbows deep in glitter.

Lego Movie 2 Character costumes appearances

Come and say hello to your favourite characters from The Lego Movie 2.

Space dough making

By whipping together just a few ingredients, you can create your very own stretchy squishy space dough. £3 per child.

Explore learning

There’s lightyears of stuff we can learn from the galaxy – catch just some of it at these free educational space sessions.

Rocket making

Create a rocket that’ll make NASA jealous using just a few bits and bobs. £3 per child.

Let master LEGO builders, Brightbox, show you how to make truly awesome robots for £15 a session.

Not all space rocks are grey, you know. In this painting session, colour is encouraged. £3 per child.

Join us in the foyer for all sorts of free fun and games in the evening.

There’s also a competition for little ones, can you spot any aliens hiding among the planets in the foyer? Grab one of our monster-finder sheets and tick off the ones you see.

Details: By the 29 August, leave it with some contact details in our box by the bar, leave a suggested donation of 50p for Sheffield Children’s Hospital and you could be in with the chance of winning some fab prizes.
