Helena & Isabel both follow trips with a tot and went to try out Music Bugs Sheffield baby and toddler classes at Morrisons. Music Bugs are sensory music classes at Ecclesall, Ranmoor, Hillsborough, and Totley in Sheffield throughout the week. This is what these mums thought!
Isabel says…”It’s safe to say that we absolutely loved our Music Bugs visit today. From the very beginning, and throughout, the session was welcoming, well paced and oodles of fun.
Located in the community room at Morrison’s supermarket, Hillsborough, it was easy to find, was bundled with safe, free, parking and a perfectly sized space for the activity.
Upon arriving we were welcomed by Claire, who was leading the session and the session then started promptly.
The facilities were fantastic, and being able to change the kids in the room rather than go through the shop, and feed the kids whenever we needed to, gave a relaxed atmosphere; I was pleased to see it was also breastfeeding friendly 👍.
Barney loved clapping his hands along to the welcome song that we started with and this was followed by several nursery rhymes which we know well, so could join in with our kids. In fact there was a great mix of new and familiar songs so we didn’t feel lost even though we were attending for the first time.
The session was exceptionally well resourced, all the instruments were of a high quality and if our child had dribbled on them (which Barney did at every opportunity 😂) then we could discreetly put them in a separate box to be washed without any embarrassment caused. The theme of the week was dinosaurs, raaaaar. And again there were some familiar songs such as ‘1 little, 2 little, 3 little dinosaurs’ and some great interactive new songs.
As for an amazing experience, at one point we were stomping and flying around in a circle, then we were singing bubble songs, a parachute type song and several instrument led songs. Every activity had matching resources and moved quickly so at no point we’re we left waiting or wondering what was coming next.
Music Bugs aimed to provide for a mixed age range; Barney is 11 months old and loved it, but equally the older children within the group were all engaged, laughing and loving trying on the dinosaur costumes; the dino tail and mask were very cute.
To get you started, you can book a taster session, rather than a block booking, or if your sure, you can jump straight in with a block.
The taster was perfect for us because we don’t like to book a whole block if we don’t know we’re going to enjoy it, or it’s suitable.
Hopefully I’ve convinced you that we had a brilliant time, and we’re now looking into booking the rest of the block!”
In addition, Helena went to try Music Bugs Sheffield at Hillsborough Morrisons last week & loved it. Having taken her son to Music Bugs before, this is a class not new to her and she’s always impressed with the high quality class content.
Helena says “Me and my 18 months old son really enjoyed it, he usually doesn’t pay attention to other classes, but every time we go to Music Bugs he always dance, jump and run crazy because music makes him happy. Claire is such a lovely lady, she always has so many plush toys, finger puppets and other things to go with songs which is amazing!
We would recommend Music Bugs to anyone”.
You can join Music Bugs Sheffield at any time, with different themes every week, trial sessions or block booking there is something for everyone.
