Christmas weekend is here! Christmas Eve is on a Sunday this year, which always think is nice because it feels like Christmas is a whole weekend… you get what I’m saying?! Most of the big events, Santa’s experience and family attractions are all booked up now but if you’re still looking for festive things to do this weekend, here’s some quick ideas which are still available! What to do this weekend – Christmas events in & around Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Enjoy afternoon tea with Santa or breakfast with Santa on 23rd and 24th at IceSheffield. There’s still a few slots left!
Have a lovely hot drink in Thor’s tipi bar in Sheffield Peace Gardens, and have a last chance at browsing the Sheffield Christmas Markets on Fargate in the city centre. for more things to in sheffield which are cheap and festive, check this list here.
See Santa at Wentworth Garden Centre, extra slots have been added and late openings due to demand. Friday 22nd December grotto is open 10am-5pm, Christmas Eve 9am-4pm, festive ice skating is also on. The garden centre, restaurant and shops are open until 8:30pm on 22nd.
Free Christmas light trail (suggested donation of £3 for charity) at Farmer Copleys until December 23rd, from 4:30pm-7pm.
Tickets are available for Christmas 2017 at Boston Park Farm for the 22nd, which includes a set buffet lunch, tractor trailer ride and santas grotto.

There are tickets still available for The Christmas experience at Lotherton Hall in Leeds for Friday and Saturday. Described as Yorkshire’s best Christmas family day out, there is so many festivities to see and enjoy such as a fairy dell, twelve days of Christmas woodland walk, Santa’s grotto and much more.
Carr Gate garden centre in Wakefield have free Christmas activities all weekend. On Saturday there’s Christmas wreath making, face painting and homemade gift ideas. On Sunday, kids craft activity, face painting and Christmas story time. There’s also a festive lunch, Santa’s grotto and breakfast or lunch with Santa; so you can really make a whole day of it!
