Things To Do In Nottingham with a toddler - Wheelgate

Please note this is a very big list with multiple different parts to it. You’ll have to find the section you want, it is split into: Events, Free Days Out, Best for Halloween, Best for Bonfire Night, and more. 😉

This half term covers Halloween – but you can visit our halloween roundup for a full guide of halloween events. I’ve had lots of requests for ideas of things to do that are not halloween and not scary, so this roundup will be a mixture of all. Find the full halloween guide here:

And not only halloween but this half term is a little bit special as it also covers bonfire night. Wow, let’s get straight into it!

Buxton, a 14th century old spa town in Derbyshire makes a beautiful day out in itself. There are nice shops to browse, charity shops aplenty for bargain hunting, cafes, pubs, coffee shops, many shopping and dining possibilities. But for me, the star of the show is the Pavilion Gardens. 23 acres of pleasure gardens to please the eye, a land train, lovely colourful playground, café with play area, nature, gift shops and events make this the “jewel in the crown” of Buxton.
