Hello everyone <3 how are you all doing? A very merry Christmas to you all…and soon, a happy new year. Welcome to the very last weekend roundup of 2018. Crazy, crazy times.

I wasn’t going to do this weekend roundup because I vowed I would take this week off but I ended up publishing a new blog post on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & today, and working on mailing list so safe to stay I’ve thrown the towel in on the ‘time off’… I just can’t help it! So here’s some ideas for things to do this weekend, I hope you had an amazing one and make it one to remember as we say goodbye to 2018.

If you love these roundups, read a few this year or wait for them every week; please do me a favour and tell a friend about it to help trips with a tot do even better in 2019. <3

However you choose to bring in the new year, stay safe and I wish you all the best for you & your family.

Thwaite Mills Watermill Museum in Leeds sounds nice. It’s only £4 entry. All weekend they’ve got a special event on… “Beat the post Christmas blues at Thwaite Mills, we will have indoor toys and games, plus a picnic area and craft activities to keep all the family entertained what ever the weather.”

Winter Season at Eureka! with lots of extra stuff going on including a winter show.

Back in Sheffield, a walk around Botanical Gardens is sooo lovely. And lots of places to eat on Ecclesall Road.

Action packed themed FREE weekend at Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds. Legends: King Arthur is on all weekend 10am-5pm. “Featuring the legendary leader of medieval myths and romances.”. Story telling, crafts, combat demos and more. Don’t forget about the FREE water taxi to/from the museum!!

The Singing Mermaid at the Lyceum has got really good feedback on our community group, we haven’t been yet but everyone has been saying their toddlers love it. There’s still some tickets left for this weekend but be quick they’ll probably be a sell out.

Chatsworth House farmyard and adventure playground is amazing and one of our favourites. The playgrounds are great, so big, with wooden equipment suitable for littles right up to teens (and adults!). Lots of sand, water play, bridges, slides, ride ons and places to eat.

A day out at Yorkshire Wildlife Park is one of the best and a popular choice for families. Open as usual and will have a lovely atmosphere this weekend. Play areas are great.

FREE; here’s directions and information about the Enchanted Toddler Trail, opened by Wild Sheffield earlier this year, in Grenoside Woods.

Check this “41 things to do before you’re 5” in South Yorkshire list for even more ideas. Perhaps you could choose one you haven’t done yet? Or choose 2 and then let your little one choose where you go!

Aston Springs Farm has a lovely farm trail, indoor play area in a pizza restaurant and a paint a pot.

Graves Park in Sheffield has a free farm!
