Zorro Lounge Stocksbridge Fox Valley
I had a really nice day out at Fox Valley in the sunshine this week. With free mobility scooter hire, I was able to zoom around doing some shopping with Eric and enjoyed a very nice lunch at the new Zorro Lounge.
Fox Valley is an outdoor shopping centre in Stocksbridge. What’s there for kids? Not much, really, but enough to spend a few hours there! Besides the shops, there’s some little fountains (like a very small peace gardens) to play in with seating area right next to it and some grass, a lovely family friendly restaurant/bar Zorro Lounge. 😉
We decided to go there after I googled for places to go near me with mobility scooter hire. It was soooo easy to hire one at Fox Valley, the scooter was waiting for us when we arrived, even, and we just had to ring a mobile number to security staff who then brought the keys to us. Exchanged ID and off I went. The scooter was clean, in very good condition and had a basket on the front… convenient for shopping!
We got this lovely bag in the sale at Jojo Maman Bebe…
I can’t walk unaided at the moment and so this was a really big deal for me. In fact it was the first time I was able to go in shops independently, and having Eric on my knee, too, really cheered me up.
Zorro Lounge is really nice. The last time I was at Fox Valley, there was a coffee shop where Zorro Lounge is so it must be relatively new. It’s very family friendly with a good kids menu and high chairs. Lots of space inside for prams and mobility scooters/wheelchairs, clean toilets, sofas and all varieties of tables and seating.
The atmosphere is very relaxed, with the doors open in the sunshine right next to the fountain. There’s outdoor seating tables and chairs at the front which conveniently are next to the water fountains.
The vegan menu at Zorro’s was fantastic! We have been vegan for some time now and love eating out but I was really impressed with the big vegan menu there. I thought it was too good to be true and expected there to be lots of things on the menu not available but this wasn’t the case.
The food was lovely and fresh, presented well and good value for money. I definitely will go back there. Oh, and the staff were nice – and they had toys, games and colouring in for little ones. 5/5 🙂
Have you been to Zorro Lounge? Can you recommend anymore accessible family days out for me?! Please get in touch if you have any favourites.
