FREE Zog Trail at Sherwood Pines
Did you know there’s a NEW and FREE Zog activity trail at Sherwood Pines? The trail started January 11th 2019 and is the closest Zog trail to Sheffield.
This is a fantastic free day out for families and the ONLY Zog trail within reasonable distance from Sheffield. The trail is FREE. There is an optional activity pack which costs £3 from the information point when it is open.
The zog trail starts at white walking trail and is approximately 1 mile long.
“Follow the trail markers through the woods to find familiar characters from the story, collect stars as you learn like Zog did at dragon school, and complete interesting challenges along the way”.
Open every day except Christmas Day.
Winter opening hours are 8:00am until 6:00pm.
Spring/Summer opening hours are 8:00am until 10:00pm.

£2 up to 1 hour. £4 for up to £2 hours or £6 all day. No change available and card payments taken.

“Sherwood Pines is well known for its free, adventurous play facilities, so it is easy for everyone to spend a fun day playing in the woods.
There are two main play areas linked by a walking trail, which also has plenty of play opportunities along the way.
If you journey deeper into the forest following the “Green Men” you will find Robins Hood Hideout, a huge climbing frame with two tree houses”.

Things to do nearby
- Sherwood Forest Railway. Open “every day from the 17th February until the end of November, running from 11am, the last train leaving at 4:30pm. Train rides are just £2-00 each, under 1’s and well behaved dogs ride free!”. Lots of play equipment, bouncy castle, refreshments and picnic tables. No entry fee cost; the only charge is the actual train rides!
- Rufford Abbey Country Park. Free family day out with trails, playgrounds, busy calendar of events (including seasonal trails), lakeside walks, woodlands, tea room & more.
