High Hazels Park is a large parkland in S9 4PE. It has a large playground, sports facilities, lots of space to play or picnic and a big sandpit!
Thank you Lu for sending in these fantastic photos to our community group with details of the playground:
“We pretty much had the place to ourselves at High Hazels today, which is a shame because it’s such a lovely park.
Here’s some photos of the play areas as there has been some new equipment put in.
We really like it here. On the field area there is a cricket practice space and a 5 a side pitch. There’s a basketball area with hoops (not pictured).
There’s a fair few statues to find, but I have zero idea what these actually are. We’ve found and re-hidden rocks before, too.
The park has things suitable for most ages really. Baby swings, a small climbing frame with slide. Much bigger equipment too. There’s a sand pit area, as well as a zip wire swing further down in the park.
For facilities, you’ll find a golf course with a cafe and toilets. There’s a bowling green and tennis courts you can hire.
With so much green space, it’s perfect for picnics in sunny or warmer weather.
Public transport: It’s on the 52 bus route (literally get off at High Hazels nursery) and walk down the street just before it, there’s a little path at the bottom that leads into the park).
Parking: Free parking in car park at top of hill, (Catley Road leading into Infield Lane); walk up from car park to tennis courts. Infield Lane, Sheffield, S9 4PE
