Out Of This World is my favourite Sheffield City Centre event of the year and I definitely recommend you go this year. Out Of This World 2018 & Little Monsters The Moor Halloween Party, Sheffield
This year Out Of This World 2018 & Little Monsters The Moor Halloween Party is on Sunday October 28th
The festival is to celebrate all things Sci-Fi, Magic and Halloween and is on the same day as another fab event for kids; Little Monsters Halloween Party at The Moor. So you get two in one day! I highly recommend both, and both are completely free. Out Of This World is fun for all ages so it’s suitable for all the family.
There’s funfair rides, characters, food, drink, games, caged mummy, fancy dress, spooky storytelling and loads more. I was really impressed last year at the amount of things to do it really is a fantastic day out in the City Centre and kids (and adults!) just love it. And it’s free!

Top Tips for enjoying Out Of This World 2018 & Little Monsters The Moor Halloween Party, Sheffield:
Dress up! Go all out or just face paints; anything goes and dressing up really is part of the event and a great way to join in.
Locate baby changes. The City Centre will be busy on Sunday 28th October with both events taking place, so toilets etc are going to be busy… check ahead where the best baby changes are in the city centre so you know where to go.
If you plan to eat out, book ahead to avoid disappointment. If you need some ideas of the best Family Friendly places to dine in the city centre, check this guide.
Check the map. There are lots of different areas and buildings for both events and some of it we missed out last year. It’s a good idea to check the maps before you go and remember/note down where you want to go so you don’t forget and miss out. The Winter Gardens is good for cosplay, dinosaurs and costumes. The Moor Little Monsters Party has some fantastic halloween dancing and entertainment.
Public transport. If you can use public transport into the city centre as roads and parking will be busy. On street parking is free on Sundays in the city centre but is always very busy during popular events such as this one.
Last year we dressed up and headed out to city centre to enjoy the atmosphere and entertainment at Out Of This World. It was great to see sooo many fantastic cosplay, costumes, entertainers, characters and robots. Eric’s favourite highlights was the lightning McQueen and other cars outside Winter Gardens, robots, a huge dinosaur in the Winter Gardens, and monsters.
The festival is spread out all over the city centre with loads to see and do for all ages. It’s not just suitable for toddlers, but any age… littles through to oldies 😉 This is last years map (will be updated when the new publicity is released for 2018):
Do dress up! The majority of people are and and I’m so glad we went ahead with it and went with face paints on last year… it makes it more fun. Eric was a little bit apprehensive last year but he was only just turned 2, this year though he is soooo into halloween and he’s his birthday on the 26th, too, so I’m so excited for him.
Don’t forget both events Out Of This World 2018 & Little Monsters The Moor Halloween Party, Sheffield at on Sunday 28th October
