Play cafes are a lovely alternative to busy soft play centres. They’re popping up all over the place and definitely seem to be a great 2019 trend. Especially good for under 5’s, play cafes offer a less hectic, more comfortable and interactive experience to an indoor soft play centre. Here is a list of some of the best Play Cafes in and around Sheffield for you to try out with your little ones.
What is a play cafe and how does it differ from a soft play centre? Well, I guess this can be subjective. To me, a play cafe is an indoor play centre that offers less actual soft play (frames, ball pits, etc.,) and more interactive play areas with toys, role play, dressing up, and/or crafts. Play cafes are usually more open plan than soft play, allowing parents and carers to sit and chat/eat/drink while still being able to see the little ones play. 😉
