Hi there! I feel like it’s only just been Easter holidays and WOW wasn’t that a hot bank holiday?! Now we’re due another bank holiday… and with it, I’m due another baby! aha. It’s my due date this weekend but… there’s always time for family fun 😉 and so I couldn’t resist but to round up Top 5 family fun events in Sheffield for this weekend.

Highland Cattle Show, Pet Dog Show, Ferret Racing, Craft & Food Stalls, Maypole Dancing, Family Fun Fair, Graves Park Animal Farm and Pets Corner, Fantastic Children’s Playground, Rose Garden Café, Trade Stalls and much more.
Open day at Sheffield Manor Lodge, Sunday 5th May 11am-4pm.
Sheffield Manor Lodge is a unique heritage attraction with Tudor Turret House and grounds. Explore the walls, take a tour and meet costumed characters. There are also our giant sandpit, lavender labyrinth, crafts and outdoor wooden games – the perfect place for families and children to play. Just make sure you don’t get stuck in the stocks at closing time.
Wander through meadows and gardens to explore a unique landscape rich in seasonal colour. Our Pictorial Meadows team are specialists in creating beautiful displays of naturalistic planting. Amongst the grounds, indulge in the scents of the apothecary’s garden and try not to get lost in the lavender labyrinth. £3 adult access to grounds, or £5 including turret house tour or family trail, children free.
Nutcracker and Calendar at The Merlin Theatre, Saturday 4th-Sunday 5th May.
2pm and 7pm showing on Saturday 4th, and 2pm showing on Sunday 5th. The Heights presents the ballet of the Nutcracker Sweet Kingdom and the Divertissements of the Calendar Year shown through Modern, Tap, Contemporary and Commercial dance. This family friendly show stars our pupils aged from Y3 upwards. Tickets here
Bank Holiday Film: Lego Movie 2 at Crookes Social Club, Monday 6th May, 2:45pm start.
Make your Bank Holiday AWESOME with the Lego Movie 2 and help us to raise some funds for Discovery Squared at the same time!
As well as the film there is Lego themed colouring in to enjoy plus you can transport yourself into the Lego Movie 2 with our Green Screen! You can also check out some amazing Lego creatures made with Lego motors.
