Well it’s that time again – time for our weekend roundup. The weather forecast this weekend for Sheffield looks nice and dry on Saturday, and a little rainy on Sunday… but this is obviously subject to change as the weather always does! What’s on for kids in & around Sheffield January 20th-21st
Skate with a superhero at IceSheffield, Saturday 10:30am-3:30pm. Iron man, batman, spider man and more. Refreshments, bouncy castle and face painting available.
Beauty and the Beast – Ha Ha Stage Productions at Doncaster Little Theatre, Saturday 2pm & 7pm. A traditional family pantomime with all the usual mixture of slapstick, romance and magic. Tickets: £6 / £4 (Under 16’s)
Saturday: What did the Romans do for us? at Clifton Park & Museum, 10:30-12:30, free drop in activity for all the family. The museum has some interactive stuff for kids, too! A cafe and the playgrounds are amazing in the park; you can make a day of it.
Leapz N Beatz Teddy Bears Picnic, at Leapz N Beatz dance academy, Doncaster, on Saturday. free for members & non members, for 2-4 year olds with drink & snack provided. Please come along with your favourite snuggly teddy for a fun filled themed syllabus dance lesson! 9-10am.
Under 2’s Messy Farm at Sticky Bun Play Cafe on Saturday. Little ones will be spending a day working at our messy play farm, feeding, playing and washing the animals and having fun getting messy. For under 2’s, £5 per child.
Saturday: Discover Family Arts Award Club at Yorkshire Sculpture Park, for children aged 5-11. Go on an adventure in our family art club sessions, as you work together to creatively investigate works from the Arts Council Collection, YSP exhibitions, and the park. Three hour club sessions, costing £12.
Go swimming at Hillsborough Leisure Centre, 8am-10:30am on Saturday morning, 10:30am-5:15pm at Ponds Forge, Family Splash at Springs Leisure Centre 12:15-1:15pm and family swim sessions throughout the day at Concord. See the timetable here.
FREE Family Friends: Friendship Banners at Weston Park Museum, Sheffield. 1pm-4pm. For family friends member only.
FREE Art Pods family activity sessions at The Hepworth Wakefield, plus Explore & Draw. Saturday, 11am-4pm
Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st: Bird feeder making at RSPB Old Moor, £2 per feeder, all equipment provided. 11-3:30pm. Why not have a walk or enjoy the playgrounds there, too?
Watch My Little Pony: The Movie at Vue Sheffield 10am on Saturday and Sunday for Mini Mornings.
Catch the Exploring Space family show at regular times every day, all weekend at National Science & Media Museum, Bradford (free). Show is for ages 7+, but there is so much more to see in the entire museum for all ages. Show is free, but booking is essential.
Watch a family friendly showing of The Star at Light Cinema Sheffield, 10am all weekend.

Kids Club at Awesome Walls Sheffield, 10am. For 7-16 year olds, every Sunday, kids can enjoy 2 hours rock climbing with an experienced instructor and meet new friends.
