Last weekend of the Christmas Trail at Rufford Abbey Country Park. Trail sheets £1. Country park free to visit and there’s 2 playgrounds!

Lotherton Hall in Leeds has adventure playground, bird garden, walks and trails, gardens and lots more.

Try brunch at Hassop Station Cafe then walk into Bakewell.

Leeds City Museum have a family-friendly special exhibition “Beavers to Weavers” and it’s the last weekend for “Hibernate” a self-led colouring and hibernation animal trail throughout the museum. 

Have you been to South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum? It’s open 10am-4pm daily in winter.

Free crafts and story time at Chesterfield Museum & Art Gallery 11am, 12.30 and 2pm on Saturday.

Some tickets still available for Tales from the Gallery – Story Telling for Under 5’s at Yorkshire Sculpture Park on Sunday. £3.

Can you travel? There’s over 70 life-size lego brick animals at Twycross Zoo and a Safari Spotters Trail at the moment.

Lego closer to home: Manchester LEGOland discovery centre at the Intu Trafford Centre.
