So much to do at this park which is the largest in Sheffield. With a free animal farm, good playground (newly renovated) which includes a sandpit, plus a cafe, woodlands and tons of space it’s a popular free family day out. In summer there is a land train. and don’t forget about the hidden Woodseats Playground.
Forge Dam , S10 4GL
A wonderful day out with a lovely cafe, woodlands, playground and walking trails. The playground is small but home to a big shiny slide. There are ducks to feed (buy a bag from the cafe), a really nice cafe and I recommend walking all the way to Endcliffe Park through the woods.
One of our favourite free family days out: read this post!

Wonderful park with lovely nature trail, beautiful woodlands, good cafe and playground. Rivelin Valley Park is one of our favourite places for exploring in the woodlands. The nature trail very long but the first half from Malin Bridge to the playground/cafe is pushchair friendly. There is a free water park with paddling pool open weekends from June and daily in school holidays.
